Retro Youth was created when Piper started making these fun jean jackets as gifts for her daughter's friends who were having birthdays. She wanted to create a stylish yet functional jacket that she would put on her own toddler. She focused on fun retro inspired 100% cotton fabrics that made these jackets unique. The jackets were a hit and before she knew it, friends of friends, family, and random strangers who spotted her daughter or a friend in a jacket started asking how they could get one. After months of designing, choosing fabrics, and sewing in her attic craft room, she decided to expand, have the jackets manufactured and now they are available to everyone! These jackets are truly special and are limited editions. Season after season she will continue to hand pick funky, fun, retro inspired fabrics to keep your little ones ahead of the trends.
Piper was born and raised in Los Angeles and now resides in Northern California. Her mother and grandmother have always been creative inspirations. When you come from a family of sewers, you are bound to sew! She is always looking for fun and creative ways to expand her business, yet continue to be a stay-at-home mom with her two year old daughter who keeps her very busy!
